Ymestyn is pleased to offer a structured ALN Kids Club for children and young people aged 5 to 17 with a variety of disabilities and additional needs. Based in a safe and welcoming family hub in Cardiff whilst also utilising community based venues and activities, our service provides high-quality respite for families, while offering enriching, supervised experiences for children in a supportive group environment.

Monday to Friday (Term time ONLY)
9:00am –12:30pm
or
2pm – 5:30pm
Who the Service Is For
This service is designed for children and young people aged 5–17 who may have:
• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Learning disabilities
• Sensory processing differences
• ADHD or other behavioural and emotional needs
• A combination of diagnosed or emerging additional needs Key Features
Structured Day Programme
Activities are planned and tailored to the needs and interests of the children, with clear routines and visual supports where needed.
• Qualified and Experienced Staff: Our team are trained in supporting children with a wide range of disabilities and communication styles.
• Safe and Stimulating Environment: The centre is equipped to meet diverse needs and includes both quiet spaces and active zones.
• Social Development: Children are encouraged to build relationships, develop communication skills, and take part in group and individual activities.
• Enrichment Activities: Including arts and crafts, sensory play, outdoor games, themed days, and inclusive group sessions.

• Provide families and carers with regular, reliable respite
• Promote children’s independence, social interaction, and wellbeing
• Support emotional regulation through structured and supported routines
• Offer fun, inclusive opportunities for children to engage with peers and the wider community.
Getting Started
We offer a initial consultation with families and professionals to assess needs, create a support plan, and ensure suitability for the service. A referral process and care agreement will be completed before starting.
